What is Mobility Training?

Mobility training is a free training program to help people with disabilities and senior citizens learn to use the RTC fixed-route transit service safely and properly. Mobility training is meant to aid people in developing the skills and confidence necessary to travel independently.

This program is offered both one-on-one or in a group setting.

Mobility training is a free program that helps:

  • Anyone who wants to learn more about using transit
  • People with disabilities
  • Seniors
  • Students in special education programs

You’ll learn how to:

  • Plan your trip using the rideRTC app
  • Read the bus schedule and use a bus map
  • Use the farebox and ticket machine
  • Safely get on and off the bus
  • Travel independently and confidently

You don’t need to be an RTC paratransit rider to join. Anyone who wants help learning to ride is welcome.
