Silver STAR

A growing population of senior citizens in Las Vegas and an increasing demand for mobility encouraged or led the RTC to establish Silver STAR. For this reason, the RTC works with valley seniors to identify neighborhood routes to help meet their mobility needs. The service is open to the entire community, but was designed with senior citizens in mind. The service stops at senior living communities, various shopping areas, and pharmacies.

Silver STAR Routes

Every Silver STAR route connects with regular RTC fixed-route service to provide a broad range of destinations for passengers. Riders can use transit passes for boarding and each Silver STAR vehicle can accommodate up to two wheelchairs at a time. Please note: Saturday holidays will be observed on Fridays. Sunday holidays will be observed on Mondays.

Flexible Demand Reponse (FDR)

Flexible Demand Response (FDR) is a door-to-door transit service provided by the RTC. FDR allows residents to call and schedule rides on a public transit system that would not otherwise be available in their area. FDR intersects RTC fixed-route transportation routes throughout the service area, which allows riders to use fixed-route service to meet transportation needs that take them outside their neighborhood communities and throughout Clark County. The service is currently available in the Sun City Anthem, Sun City Summerlin, and Centennial Hills communities.

It is the rider’s responsibility to schedule ride times. When making a reservation, pick-up times must be firm. If a passenger misses a ride during Call Center operating hours, you may call (702) 228-7433 to attempt to reschedule the ride.
